Since the early days of the new republic, the National Theatre of Albania has opened its repertoire to foriegn plays, and experimented with fobidden authors. In the past 10 years they have performed plays from Albania and elsewhere to wide acclaim. Director Adonis Filipi will direct Shakespeare's great meditation on riot and rebellion.
Synopsis
Young King Henry returns from wars in France with Margaret, his new Queen. The domineering Queen and the Earl of Suffolk take advantage of the King’s weakness to further their own political ends, much to the horror of the Duke of Gloucester. As the lords scheme and plot against one another, Jack Cade stirs up dreams of rebellion amongst the peasants, and, as the Wars of the Roses begin, King Henry is forced to take up arms to defend his crown.

If anything, even better that Part 1. Allam gives another magnificent performance, but there is not a performance that is not wonderful. The two elderly justices are brilliant, and the recruitment scene hilarious. Mistress Quickly and Doll Tearsheet also generate their share of laughs. The direction is first class - sight gags bringing out the comedy which were implicit in Shakespeare's text, but which other productions so often miss.
